Who we are
This policy covers Republic Educational Consultancy Pvt. Ltd., Level 2, KSK Building, VIP Marg, Bagbazar, Kathmandu, Nepal ("Republic", "we", "us"). It applies to this website and to the information you share with us in person, by phone, on WhatsApp, by email or on social media. We handle personal information in line with the laws of Nepal, including the Individual Privacy Act, 2075 (2018).
What this website collects
This website does not ask you to sign up, has no contact forms, and does not use analytics or advertising trackers. We do not set cookies.
- Fonts. The site loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google's servers, which receive your IP address. See Google's privacy policy.
- Hosting. Like any website, our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses and pages requested, to keep the site running and secure.
- Links to other services. When you tap a WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram or Google Maps link, you leave our site and that service's own privacy policy applies.
What you share with us as a student
To counsel you and apply on your behalf, we may ask for:
- your name, phone number, email address and the details of a parent or guardian;
- academic transcripts, certificates and English test results;
- passport details and other identity documents;
- financial documents needed for scholarship and visa applications;
- your statement of purpose, CV and letters of recommendation.
You choose what to share. If you do not share something an application requires, we will tell you what that means for your application.
How we use it
- to give you counselling and recommend courses, universities and countries;
- to prepare and submit your university, scholarship and visa applications;
- to arrange test preparation and pre-departure support;
- to contact you, and your parents if you ask us to, about your applications.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for anything unrelated to your study plans.
Who we share it with
We share your information only when it is needed for a service you have asked for, such as with:
- the universities and colleges you apply to;
- scholarship bodies;
- embassies, visa offices and their application centres;
- English test providers, when you book a test through us.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it.
Student stories and photos
We publish a student's name, photo, university or visa result on this website or our social media only with that student's consent. To have your story removed, email hello@republic.edu.np and we will take it down.
University names and logos
The university and college names and logos on this website, including on our partner universities page, are the trademarks and property of those institutions. We show them only to identify the institutions our students can apply to through us.
We work with some of these institutions directly, and with others through authorised recruitment partners and application platforms, such as Global Study Partners, ApplyBoard, Career Mojo, Crizac, KC Overseas Education and Uni Consultant Alliance, under our agreements with those partners. Showing a logo does not mean that the institution endorses Republic or has a direct contract with us.
If you represent an institution and would like us to change or remove your name or logo, email hello@republic.edu.np and we will do so promptly.
How long we keep it, and how we protect it
We keep your information only as long as we need it for your applications and to meet our legal obligations, and we limit access to the staff working on your file. No method of storing or sending information is completely secure, so please send documents only through our official channels listed below.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it when we no longer need it for an application or a legal obligation. Email hello@republic.edu.np or visit our office.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top.
